The project "What makes you happy?" started out with a wish to explore the concept of hapiness, and the very personal approach we all have to this very broad subject. Happiness interpreted by one person can be something very different than for someone else, and in the same way that a camera works as a mirror and catches the expression in a person´s face, we wanted to widen the portrait made in the photo automat by adding another dimension - this very difficult and important issue of: what makes a person happy? The question: What makes you happy? as a way of trying to make an even more complex portrait of a person.

By letting the images of peoples faces and dreams of hapiness being projected on the wall - the people outside of the automat might be able to identify themselves in the longings of others. Individual portraits as a reflection of the longing of many: how to be happy?
