During the festival r a k e t a placed light installations outdoors, on walls, and on the ground of the city square called ”Möligheternas torg” (The Square of Possibilities), which was in focus as the public discussion about what to do with the square was in full swing. Should it be covered with a glass roof or built in as a gallery? r a k e t a screened the text "It might be time to move the camels" as an introduction to new thoughts and perspectives on the topic. In the exhibition room r a k e t a cooperated with youngsters from the Kaplan school, and made a meeting place/installation with old office furniture from the recycle station in Skellefteå. The piece was functioning both as a furniture and as a sculpture. Together with locals r a k e t a edited a magazine in three editions, one per day during the festival. The paper dealt with the topic; public space in Skellefteå, viewed from different angles. |
